Congratulations Sarah Jenkins

Our New Club President

A bit about Sarah…

Sarah first became involved with Lindfield Football Club in 2008 when she started playing women’s football as well as being a mum of 3 keen footballers.

Sarah has held numerous roles within the club and truly embodies the LFC spirit. She has been the Age Coordinator for WO35s, her son’s age groups as well as any other’s that needed someone. Sarah was the Non Comp Age Director during which time she helped build Superskills into today’s awesome offering. Sarah also held the Registrar role for a few years. Additionally, you might have seen Sarah behind the bar, selling uniforms or sausage sandwiches or at information sessions. We really look forward to seeing what she brings to her new role!

Sarah’s big passion is for girls’ football and she has been heavily involved over the years in the development of female football at Lindfield. Sarah has also been a part of the girls and women’s committee at NSFA for a number of years and for the last 4 years has been an NSFA board member.

Sarah says “My heart lies with Lindfield though and I am delighted to take on the role of President. I firmly believe that football can have such a positive impact for any player, and we are here to do everything possible to make that happen!”

On behalf of all members we would like to say a massive THANK YOU Clive Solari for your 6 years service as President.

Clive stepped up following the very sad passing of Gil Merlo, he steadied the ship and set us sailing again. Clive believes now is the time to hand over the role, but not to worry he still intends being actively involved at LFC - “It has become an extended family for myself, my wife Debbie and our three sons”. Clive plans to get more involved with Project 2023 and help with the conversion of the last bowling green to a synthetic surface allowing LSC to expand its offering to our members.

Looking back over the last 6 years Clive cites many proud LFC achievements .

  • LFC now the biggest club in the NSFA with over 2000 players.

  • Our coaching system is working incredibly well with much thanks to Chris and Paul for everything they have achieved especially with our development teams (currently 8/10 SL & DL teams hold 1st or 2nd spot on league ladders)

  • We are also working hard on improving our offer to social teams: Country Cousins (big thanks Penny Larson); LFC coaching via SuperSkills & the HUB; 'oldies' Bathurst tour at season end for O45s and W35s, plus upgraded playing fields.

  • A modern and useful website thanks to Tanya and Deidre

  • One of the biggest changes to the club in the last 6 years is our uniform and uniform shop. I know I'm biased on this one but I think we have the best strip in the NSFA, well backed up by a on-line sales system.

  • So whether you're under 6 or over 60 I believe Lindfield has you covered.

As with every year the club thrives thanks to a lot of people volunteering for various roles. Clive would like to thank every committee member and volunteer for doing such a good job and making his role possible.  “It's been a rewarding, stimulating and challenging time which has given me great satisfaction and I hope, created great momentum moving forwards”. Yes Clive it certainly has! Thanks!!!

Thank You Clive Solari!

Thank You Clive Solari!

State Cup Quarter Finals

The march forward into the State Cup Quarter Finals, continued for U15A, U17A, U18A, WAA Prems, G14A & G16A with hopefully another 3 joining them this weekend!
Good Luck to our U13A, U14A & G18A teams playing Round 3 as their matches were unfortunately washed out last week.

The G12B put up a brave fight in Round 3, eventually going down 2:1 and ending a fabulous campaign, with help from a number of G10 players. It's been a great experience setting them up well for Kanga in July.

If you’d like to showcase your team on the website or our social pages, please send your pictures (approved by parents of juniors) to Deidre at info@lfc.asn.au along with a few words telling us about your awesome team and what makes them special!
